About Me
My name is Clarisse and I live in sunny Cornwall with my partner and kitten Luna! One of my biggest passions is of course the wonderful world of science but outside of this I also have some hobbies I enjoy. I love to read and am the biggest bookworm and collector! I also love to go on long walks through the Cornish countryside.
Tutor Experience
I have been teaching in a College for the last 5 years. Here, I taught on both A Level Biology and A Level Environmental Science. I was also course lead for Environmental Science so was responsible for planning the entire curriculum for a cohort of over 100 students as well as making resources and tests. I am also an examiner for Environmental Science and have marked both papers 1 and 2 so have a really good grasp of exam technique and what the examiners are looking for. I have recently started designing resources and delivering live sessions for a company called Primrose Kitten as well. My teaching approach is very friendly and enthusiastic. I want everyone to feel comfortable so they can learn and build on their confidence as they do so. Each lesson will be tailored to a students specific needs and will help them get the grades they deserve in the exams.
Topic Expertise
I have always taught on AQA A Level Biology and Environmental Science but can tutor in all exam boards for biology! For GCSE, I am tutoring on both OCR and WJEC Pearson and again am more than happy to teach any specification.
