I enjoy the challenge of presenting all science topics in a way they can be related to our everyday lives as well as fun ways of learning. I am also a dive instructor and love my time in another world under the ocean with some fascinating sea life - puffer fish and octopus are my favourite critters. I love travelling but of course this usually involves diving!!
24years teaching key stage 3 and 4 science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics. No such thing as one size fits all so always look to personalise and ensure make links to everyday life. I use sometimes daft ways to remember science concepts as learning should be fun. I have taught in 6 different schools from newly qualified teacher to Headteacher. I finished full time teaching when my husband finished his 30years in the fire service and we went travelling for 11months returning 10days before lockdown! Since then I have mainly been doing private online Science tutoring from KS3 to A level (Chemistry and Biology)
KS3&4 Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics
A level - Chemistry, Biology
Good in depth review for topic questions
Great review today and explaination of homostaesis and the liver (urea cycle)
It was a great first lesson with Karen; we went through the topic at a good pace. We also practised helpful questions. She was very nice going through things and I didn't feel judged at all! :)
the teacher was lovely and her ways were very creative
Alia really enjoyed her class!
