About Me

I am a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and University Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering with a PhD and formal training in teaching and learning in higher education. I have taught a wide range of students, from those building their foundations in mathematics and physics to those studying advanced engineering topics at university level.

I specialise in helping students understand Undergraduate-level Mathematics and Physics, as well as fundamental Engineering principles in a clear and structured way. I know that these subjects can feel difficult or overwhelming at times, so my approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations that build confidence and real understanding.

My teaching style is supportive, patient, and tailored to each student. I will help you:

* Strengthen your understanding of key concepts
* Improve problem-solving skills
* Build confidence in exams and coursework
* Develop a logical and structured way of thinking

As a lecturer, I have experience teaching topics such as engineering mathematics, mechanics, propulsion, and space systems. I also bring real-world insight from working on satellite systems and aerospace research in the UK and Japan.

Above all, I am passionate about helping students succeed and realise their potential. My goal is not just to help you pass a module or a subject, but to help you truly understand the subject and enjoy learning it.

If you are willing to learn, I will guide you every step of the way.

Tutor Experience

I am a University Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering with extensive experience teaching and supporting students across a wide range of levels, from foundational mathematics and physics to advanced engineering topics.

I currently teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering modules such as:

* Engineering Mathematics
* Aerospace Design (CDIO-based learning)
* Space Systems
* Aerospace Propulsion
* Aerospace Vehicle Design
* Advanced Space Systems
* Satellite Design
* Satellite Communications

In addition to teaching, I serve as an Undergraduate Projects Tutor, where I coordinate and support over 400 students and 80+ academic supervisors. This role involves guiding students through their final-year projects, helping them structure their work, improve their understanding, and develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

I have also supervised numerous individual student projects, providing one-to-one academic support, feedback, and mentoring. This experience translates directly into my tutoring approach, where I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, and adapting my teaching style accordingly.

My teaching experience is supported by formal training through a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, which has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, support different learning styles, and create an engaging learning environment.

Through both teaching and tutoring, I have helped students:

* Improve their understanding of difficult topics
* Build confidence in problem-solving
* Prepare effectively for exams and coursework
* Achieve higher academic performance

I am committed to providing structured, supportive, and effective learning experiences tailored to each student’s needs.
